Anime fans worldwide are counting down the days as Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc prepares for its highly anticipated premiere. The official website has confirmed that the film’s world premiere will take place on September 15, 2025 at an undisclosed TOHO Cinema in Tokyo, just days before the nationwide release in Japan on September 19.

The premiere will be an exclusive event limited to 140 attendees, chosen via a lottery application. A special stage event will follow, featuring Kikunosuke Toya (Denji), Tomori Kusunoki (Makima), Sakata Shogo (Aki), and Reina Ueda (Reze).

In addition, Denji and Reze will headline the cover of SCREEN α movie magazine on September 16, accompanied by a newly drawn illustration from MAPPA. The issue will include a 36-page feature with interviews from cast and staff, behind-the-scenes production insights, and a double-sided poster of the new key art.

Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover), with Makoto Nakazono as assistant director, the movie continues MAPPA’s high-energy adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga. Hiroshi Seko returns to handle the script, Kazutaka Sugiyama serves as character designer, and Riki Matsuura and Kiyotaka Oshiyama oversee devil designs. Action direction comes from Sota Shigetsugu, ensuring intense battle sequences true to the manga’s spirit.

Following its Japanese debut, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will release internationally on September 24, with Sony Pictures distributing in the United States on October 29, 2025.

The original Chainsaw Man TV anime aired in October 2022 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
