As anticipation builds for the release of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, SEGA has unveiled a new pre-launch trailer that dives deeper into the intense combat and visual storytelling of the game. Set for global launch on August 5, the sequel to the hit anime fighter will offer Advanced Access five days early for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition.
The new trailer showcases action-packed scenes from the storyline, covering key events from the original series all the way through the Hashira Training Arc, offering players the most complete Demon Slayer game experience to date.
Post-Launch DLC and Free Update Announced
SEGA has officially confirmed that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will expand even further after release. A post-launch Infinity Castle Character Pass is in development, allowing players to dive into one of the most climactic arcs of the series.
In addition, fans will receive a free update that adds the franchise’s central antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji to VS Mode, giving players the chance to wield his terrifying abilities in battle. While details on the full content of the DLC and free update are still under wraps, SEGA promises more announcements soon.
Infinity Castle Movie Tie-In
The timing of the update aligns with the recent theatrical release of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie trilogy, which began its rollout in Japan on July 18. The film’s record-breaking debut has only heightened interest in the series’ next video game installment. International screenings, including those in the United States and Canada, are scheduled to begin September 12.
