Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- Season 2 Premieres October 1, 2025, Nao Toyama Performs Ending Song
The beloved fantasy romance series Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- returns with its second season on October 1, 2025. Voice actress and singer Nao Toyama reprises her role as Aoi Tsubaki and performs both the opening and ending theme songs. The season will be streamed worldwide on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan.

Fans of supernatural romance can look forward to the highly anticipated return of Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- as its second season is officially set to premiere in Japan on October 1, 2025. The announcement comes via the anime’s official website, along with details about its theme songs.
The new ending theme, “Namida no Recipe” (A Recipe of Tears), will be sung by Nao Toyama, who also voices the human heroine Aoi Tsubaki. Toyama, who previously performed the first season’s opening theme “Tomoshibi no Manimani”, will now provide both the opening theme “Toryanse” and the ending theme for season two. Both tracks will be featured on Toyama’s ninth CD single, “Toryanse”, scheduled for release on November 5, 2025 in Japan.
In celebration, Toyama will host a special live streaming event on her official YouTube channel on August 29, 2025 at 21:30 (JST) / 05:30 (PT).
Produced by GONZO and Makaria, the second season is directed by Joe Yoshizaki (The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows). Returning staff include Tomoko Konpari (series composition), Hidemi Katsura (character design), and Takuro Iga (music).
Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will stream Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- Season 2 simultaneously with Japan across North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.
Originally written by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha, the light novel ran from 2015 to 2022 with 12 volumes. A manga adaptation by Waco Ioka has 11 volumes published, with VIZ Media handling the English release. The first anime season aired in 2018 with 26 episodes and is still available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Synopsis
After the death of her grandfather, Aoi Tsubaki, a girl with the rare ability to see spirits known as ayakashi, is confronted by an ogre who demands her hand in marriage to repay her grandfather’s debt. Refusing, Aoi instead chooses to work at the Tenjin-ya, a bed and breakfast for ayakashi, beginning a story filled with mystery, romance, and the world of spirits.
