Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Holds No.1 Spot in Japan Box Office for Fourth Weekend
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has maintained its position at the top of the Japanese box office for the fourth consecutive weekend, earning 1.919 billion yen (approx. 12.99 million USD) from August 8–10. Despite a 22% drop from the previous weekend, the film continues to dominate, surpassing the four-week earnings of Mugen Train. As of August 11, its cumulative gross stands at over 22 billion yen (149.35 million USD) with more than 15.6 million tickets sold since its release on July 18, 2025.

The unstoppable momentum of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle continues as the film secures the No.1 spot at the Japanese box office for the fourth straight weekend. Between August 8–10, the latest installment in the blockbuster anime franchise earned 1.919 billion yen (approx. 12.99 million USD) from 1,309,500 admissions, according to data from Kogyo Tsushinsha.
While the weekend gross marked a 22% drop compared to the previous week, Infinity Castle still outperformed major Hollywood releases, earning 170% more than the opening weekend gross of Jurassic World: Rebirth in Japan.
By August 11 (Mountain Day holiday), the franchise’s official X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed a cumulative gross of 22,072,191,500 yen (approx. 149.35 million USD) and 15,698,202 admissions in just 25 days since its July 18 release. This performance surpasses the four-week total of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, which earned 20.4 billion yen (approx. 138 million USD) in the same period before becoming Japan’s all-time highest-grossing film.
Other Box Office Highlights
The 32nd Crayon Shin-chan film made its debut at No.4, while Jurassic World: Rebirth—starring Scarlett Johansson—entered the Japanese box office at No.2 with 1.133 billion yen (approx. 7.67 million USD).
With its strong momentum and loyal fan base, Infinity Castle is poised to maintain its position among the highest-grossing anime films in history.
