The worlds of anime, K-pop, and emotionally resonant music collide in an electrifying new collaboration between genre-blending artist d4vd and Hyunjin from the K-pop sensation Stray Kids. Premiered exclusively by Crunchyroll News, the official music video for “Always Love” blends anime-inspired aesthetics with heartfelt vocals in a way that’s redefining cross-cultural collaborations.
This release comes hot on the heels of d4vd’s breakout debut album WITHERED, his involvement in the Arcane soundtrack, and his appearance as a presenter at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The track “Always Love,” which originally dropped in late June, was born from mutual admiration on social media and a face-to-face meeting during a Stray Kids concert in Los Angeles.
The music video reflects both artists' love for anime, featuring bold visuals and character-driven moments that echo titles like Death Note and Tokyo Ghoul—two of d4vd’s personal favorites. He’s no stranger to anime fandom, having appeared twice on Crunchyroll’s The Anime Effect podcast, where he shared how anime fuels his songwriting and artistic identity.
Hyunjin, too, brings a rich anime music background. As part of Stray Kids, he contributed to both Tower of God opening themes, while fellow member Felix collaborated with LiSA for the Solo Leveling Season 2 opening track, cementing the group’s connection to the anime music scene.
Currently, d4vd is in the midst of his WITHERED 2025 World Tour, which began in San Francisco. Fans can find upcoming tour dates and more about his music on his official website.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids is preparing for the launch of their fourth studio album, Karma, set to release globally on August 22. More updates on Stray Kids can be found here.
For fans of anime culture, K-pop crossovers, and music-inspired storytelling, “Always Love” is more than a track—it’s a movement.
