Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Dominates Japan Box Office for 3rd Straight Weekend, Surpasses 17.6 Billion Yen
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle continues its record-breaking streak, topping the Japanese box office for the third consecutive weekend. The film has now grossed over 17.6 billion yen ($120 million), climbing into the Top 10 highest-grossing films of all time in Japan and becoming the 7th top-grossing Japanese anime film in history.

The latest installment in the Demon Slayer franchise, Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, remains the reigning champion at the Japanese box office for the third consecutive weekend, earning 2.457 billion yen (~$16.75 million USD) from 1,739,600 admissions between August 1–3, 2025, according to data from Kogyo Tsushinsha.
Despite a 21% drop in revenue from the previous weekend, the film's performance was strong enough to hold onto the No. 1 position.
Cumulative Performance to Date
As officially announced via the Demon Slayer X (formerly Twitter) account on August 4, the film’s cumulative earnings reached 17.63 billion yen (~$120 million USD) with over 12.5 million tickets sold just 17 days after its release on July 18, 2025. This marks 112% of the 3-week total of the franchise’s 2020 hit, Mugen Train.
Infinity Castle previously set the record as the fastest Japanese film to surpass the 10 billion yen mark.
