Fukufuku’s isekai fantasy series The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune (Japanese title: Fuun kara no Saikyou Otoko) has officially been greenlit for a TV anime adaptation. Originally serialized on Shousetsuka ni Narou, the light novel and manga combined have exceeded 1.5 million copies in circulation. Both author Fukufuku and illustrator Zunn Nakabayashi shared heartfelt comments following the announcement.
Anime Adaptation Confirmed
Japanese publisher Starts Publishing Corporation revealed that The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune will receive a TV anime adaptation.
The series began in 2017 when author Fukufuku serialized it on the self-publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou. In March 2022, the series transitioned into print with illustrations by Zunn Nakabayashi, releasing four light novel volumes so far. A manga adaptation, also illustrated by Nakabayashi, has reached eight volumes. Together, the novels and manga—across print and digital—have sold more than 1.5 million copies.
