Hashimero Releases “Tokihanate!” Music Video – WITCH WATCH Anime Second Cour Opening Theme
Singer Hashimero has unveiled the official music video for “Tokihanate!,” the opening theme of WITCH WATCH anime’s second cour. Featuring illustrations by Yoineko247, the track blends the charm of magic and unpredictability of love. The song marks Hashimero’s first anime theme and is available digitally, with a CD release set for August 27, 2025.

The WITCH WATCH anime’s second cour has a brand-new opening theme, and it comes from none other than rising singer Hashimero. Her latest single “Tokihanate!” (“Let it go!”) has been officially released with a visually captivating music video, now streaming on her official YouTube channel. The video features charming illustrations by popular artist Yoineko247, adding a whimsical visual style that perfectly matches the fantasy-romance vibe of the series.
“Tokihanate!” serves as the opening theme for the ongoing second cour of WITCH WATCH, a rom-com fantasy anime adaptation of Kenta Shinohara’s manga. This is Hashimero’s first time writing a theme song for an anime, following her earlier work on “Lock-On” for Urusei Yatsura Season 2 in collaboration with the MAISONdes project in March 2024.
The single was digitally released on June 24, 2025 as Hashimero’s major debut track under Sony Music Labels. Fans can also look forward to the CD single release on August 27, 2025, available in both a regular edition and a time-limited production edition.
Speaking about the song, Hashimero said:
“I took in the atmosphere of WITCH WATCH and expressed it in my own way in Tokihanate!. Magic is a mysterious power, and technology can be used by anyone if they follow the procedures. But love is different — it’s unpredictable, much like magic. I hope the time you spend watching WITCH WATCH becomes a moment when you can freely express your emotions.”
The WITCH WATCH anime began airing in Japan on April 6, 2025, and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll across multiple regions including North America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and Southeast Asia.
Crunchyroll describes the series:
Morihito Otogi, a high schooler with the strength of an ogre, lives a peaceful life until his childhood friend and witch-in-training, Nico Wakatsuki, moves in and makes him her familiar. Now, Morihito must protect Nico from prophesied dangers, leading to a series of mystical and unpredictable adventures.
