The cozy world of San-X’s Sumikko Gurashi characters is making its way back to the big screen. The official website has released the main trailer and visual for the upcoming fourth anime film, Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Sora no Okoku to Futari no Ko (Sumikko Gurashi The Movie: The Sky Kingdom and Two Children). The movie is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on October 31, 2025.

The trailer features the heartfelt theme song “Kimi no Kasa” (Your Umbrella) sung by Kaela Kimura, who also wrote the lyrics. Her song reflects the gentle, healing message of the Sumikko Gurashi world—embracing one’s weaknesses while moving forward together with friends.

Kaela Kimura shared her thoughts on the collaboration:
“Each Sumikko character has their own insecurities and doubts, but because they have friends who accept them, they can move forward step by step. I wanted to express that it’s okay to have weaknesses. With friends by your side, you can overcome anything. I hope this song inspires fans to cherish themselves as they are and gives them courage.”

Story Synopsis:
