Summary: The second Studio Ghibli tribute album, Ghibli wo Utau: Sono 2 (“Singing Ghibli Part 2”), will be released in Japan on November 19, 2025. Produced by Satoshi Takebe, known for From Up on Poppy Hill and Earwig and the Witch, the album features a lineup of renowned Japanese artists, with CD jacket art by Goro Miyazaki.
Ghibli Tribute Album Part 2 Confirmed
After the success of the first tribute album in 2023, Studio Ghibli is back with a second musical celebration of its timeless works. Ghibli wo Utau: Sono 2 brings together top Japanese musicians to reinterpret and honor Ghibli’s beloved songs, ensuring the studio’s music continues to resonate with future generations.
Produced by Satoshi Takebe
Once again, Satoshi Takebe returns as producer. Takebe, who worked on the soundtracks for From Up on Poppy Hill and Earwig and the Witch, shared the vision behind the project:
“The project was started with the hope that not only Studio Ghibli films but also music and songs would be handed down to the next generation. I hope you all enjoy listening to the music, remembering your favorite scenes, and singing together.”
